The former president's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
This young athlete boasts substantial social media presence
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa practically suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in professional golf at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to wider groups, specifically among the next generation.
Kai has a massive following and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
