Skydance Paramount Will Cut Around 2,000 American Positions – Report

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs the week of 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are expected, as the firm planning to reveal complete information in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

Until December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
