Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by instructing students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on the UK education system, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after winning the next general election,” he remarked in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They inform little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their unions for a conflict,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. Neither I nor our union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

Reform, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, Farage’s remarks indicated the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with schooling – truly monumental. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring a conservative activist, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves rather than current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned at school, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and has argued that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in 2023 caused widespread disruption in schools and millions of days of lost learning for students.

At the US event, Farage also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He said organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to these educational programs. I pledge this tonight and I’ll do that.”

The college, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. The college furnishes these excellent programs for free to every interested learner.”
