NFL Recap: Broncos Narrowly Beat Struggling Jets in Low-Scoring Affair

In a low-scoring contest on Sunday, the Broncos managed to secure a close victory over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz provided the late go-ahead field goal to seal the ugly win.

Dominant Display Seals Contest

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after conceding a two-point play in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets managed a mere 82 total net yards throughout the entire game.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Lutz's short field goal with approximately five minutes left.

Record Struggles for Jets Attack

Despite their horrendous performance, the Jets still had possession with a opportunity to score a potential winning score. But Fields was sacked on fourth down from the Denver 44 when head coach Aaron Glenn chose to attempt the conversion instead of sending out specialist Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback had difficulties throughout, connecting on just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. New York finished with negative ten passing yards, the fewest in any game since 1998.

"The aerial attack was non-existent," the coach commented after the game.
