Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who leaped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed contains videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Well-being

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the performers of Wicked

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film version of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful movie of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, earning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
