It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to maintain a record if not provided the chance.

Finally, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy being given a platform to create her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the young family member of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has witnessed all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in every game, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was on her way.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was dismissed the team needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the belief to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she regretted not playing despite the injury.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have delayed plans to retire, this tournament is likely to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
