American-Palestinian Youth Freed After Nine-Month Period in Israeli Custody

An Palestinian-American adolescent who spent a nine-month period in Israel's custody absent formal charges has been freed.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 when he was arrested this past winter within the occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida accused of stone-throwing at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

US officials announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance to Mohammed's family.
{"American leadership has no higher priority to the protection and welfare of US citizens"," it added.
A group of American legislators endorsed a document to the state department and the administration, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.
Mr Ibrahim, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt to throwing stones due to physical abuse.
He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed since February, learning information solely what had happened to him through judicial records.
The teenager remained lacking indictment in Ofer prison in the West Bank.
Additionally housing mature inmates, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences and murder.
Approximately 350 Palestinian minors in security custody currently imprisoned in Israel, according to the Israeli Prison Service.
